Ruby L. Loucks

	Ruby L. Loucks, nee Carter, 78, of Cahokia, born September 10, 1925 in Winkle, died Thursday, May 6, 2004 at her residence.
	She was a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Cahokia.
	Mrs. Loucks was preceded in death by her parents, James and Gerturde, nee Farthing, Carter and two brothers, Richard and Clarence Carter.
	Surviving are two sons, Gary (Joan) Loucks of Cahokia and Irvan (Linda) Loucks of Ottumwa, Ia.; three daughters, Gale (Fred) Aten of Justice, Barbara (Leon) Rudolph of East St. Louis and Edna Sams of St. Louis, Mo.; a brother, Orville 'Bud' (Betty) Carter of Dupo; two sisters, Ollie Wafford of Mattoon and Helen (Carl) Morris of Tamaroa; nine grandchildren, Paula, Gary Jr., Joe, Crystell, Pierre, Kabir, John, Aleatha 'Allie' and Cody; 16 great-grandchildren, Amanda, Stephanie, Jeremy, Joel, Alexa, John, Caitlin, Zachary, Branden, Nikolas, Jourdan, Cierra, Brenton, Brianna, Christa and Kabrina and numerous others who knew her as 'grandma.'  She was a dear aunt, cousin and friend.
	Friends called from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 9 at the Braun Colonial Funeral Home.  Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday, May 10 at the funeral home in Cahokia with Rev. Eugene  Spurgeon and Rev. Fred Aten officiating.  Interment was in Holy  Cross Cemetery, Fairview Heights.
